Hey Cold Steel, what up?
I was wondering if there's any known release date for the Espadas with the stonewashed blades. When might I be able to order a medium and large from a distributor like Blade Hq?

I'm glad you posted this question, because I've been wondering the same thing. I really want to get a Rajah II, but I'm not sure if there are stonewashed versions available yet.
 
It's a rolling change, so you may find some dealers have some models in stock, whereas others may still have the older bead blast editions.

I, too, bought a Spartan from Amazon and it was stonewashed.

It also shows the stonewashed blade on the boxes now.
 
Stonewashed Espadas? Well shucks, I guess I'm getting a new cold steel knife then.
 
Did the G10 Espadas get changed over to Stonewash as well?
If not are there plans to?

I think that stonewashing those will draw a lot of business to the G10 models.
 
Yes, in the 2013 catalog, it shows the Spartan, Espada series and Rajah II with stone-washed blades.

This is in the paper copy of the Special Projects catalog that was mailed out earlier this year.

This didn't make it into the .PDF version, (unless they went back and added it in later on).

Once they're more common than the bead blasted ones, I'll be buying a stonewashed G-10 Espada XL to complete my "daisho" of Espadas.
 
I ordered a Rajah II from a well-known online department store and received it today. It's the new stonewashed version, and it looks fantastic.
