I've realised how much I love stonewashed blades. By far my favourite finish. If I ever become world dictator I will make it compulsory that all blades are stonewashed!
That doesn't look like happening any time soon, but maybe you should get buying all the coated and satin finish blades just in case.

I recently got my first flipper and it has my first stonewashed blade. ZT0220. I am liking it a lot! no fingerprints or smudges to wipe!

Yeah, I agree - I really like stonewashed blades, especially on my larger folders.

I like them also. I carry a Fellhoelter with a stonewash blade every day... The only thing I do not like about them is that they drag more while cutting vs. a more smooth finished blade... Even if I have the blade cutting hair, the stonewash still initiates more drag while cutting...

I always felt the stonewashed blades were the mullet, or faded ripped jeans of the knife world. Please don't make all knives stone washed. I'd much rather cheap painted blades over that.

I hate stonewashed blades. I understand why some would like it, but give me a satin finished blade anyday. To me, stonewashed looks cheap.

I do like the DLC such as Spyderco and not the powder coated or painted blades that clog stones. However, the stonewash is nice too if done right. It depends on the knife.

It's nice on some blades. Sometimes I prefer satin. Rarely if ever do I want a black coated blade.

I prefer bright or satin finish. Don't care for stonewashed and never black coated blades.

I always liked stonewashed blades. I never noticed any considerable amount of drag a stonewashed blade has over a satin finish. On coated blades I have, but not from a stonewash finish.

Stonewashed is good. One of my favorite finishes. I can see a need for other types, though. Including my least favorite, a black finish.

I too have never noticed any drag difference with any of my stonewashed blades compared to the satin or mirror polished. Not even if Rupaul was using it.

I have a variety of blades and of those stonewashed and satin finish are my favored. To me, they seem to cut the best and show minimal wear even with extended use.
My TSF Gorgon shows the least wear of all my knives with a good 2+ years of use and a solid year of edc. The blade and Ti scales are both stonewashed.

Stonewashed blades come in a lot of different forms, so I would say I like some of them. Cold Steel has done stonewashes that look like galvanized sheet metal, which I kinda liked on their Voyager knives - it gave them a sort of ultra-utilitarian look.

Generally, I like a good satin finish. Yeah, it will show marks a lot more than many finishes, but all finishes show marks at certain angles of light. Even a heavy stonewash won't hide a horizontal or vertical scratch all that well. One of the reasons I really like satin finishes is that they accentuate the lines of a knife really well.

I generally really dislike DLC coatings because they honestly seem to show marks and smudges more than any other finish, even if they are protecting the blade itself. The exception to this, in my experience, is a polished DLC coating like that is on my Cold Steel 3V Warcraft Tanto - I have put that knife through absolute hell - enough to wear parts of the DLC completely off - and it still looks fantastic.
