Okay I have a stonewashed blue anodized 3.5" Slicer Flipper and obviously my first choice is blue-black, but since they are pretty scarce at the moment I was wondering if you guys had any pics with other colored scales on your blue anodized knives so I could figure out what I want to put on mine. :) I have a black one on there now and was thinking about carbon fiber. Not sure how the full on blue would look either. Been digging through the pic thread, but dang that thing is huge....

LW, some of the sub forums issue infractions for posts like that...just a friendly heads up.

Now did I offer it for sale? I just wanted to know if the OP wants to see it on a blue knife before I take the time to put it on mine. If he doesn't say he is, I won't bother.

Have you ever had it on there. I know it can be a pain. I'm thinking they won't match, but besides blue-black I can't think of another scale that will look good. Had orange on it when I got it and that was meh.

No, never did. I got the scale off a bronze ano'd one that passed through here, the person I traded it to wanted black. I just dug out my box of Hinderer stuff and I can show you the knife with blue, red, trans green, and blue Ti frag if you're interested.

I snapped these pics of different scales on my knife. The lighting isn't good, but it may give you some ideas. I really like the trans green on the blue.

Since blue/black G10 scales look good, I like the black, c/f or textured c/f options on blue ano.

One thing that makes it even harder to judge is that some knives are lighter blue than others. Mine's among the darkest I've seen, so a color that looks good on mine might not look so good on a light one, or the reverse.

Black goes with so many things...car tires are black and cars run the rainbow.

I, too, think the trans green looks good against the blue ano - hmm, I wonder how bronze or copper standoffs would look in that combo..?

I tried it, and didn't like it. Too many colors. Now a blue knife and scale, with bronze standoff would probably look good. A bronze ano'd knife with a black scale looks good with either color standoff. A bronze knife with an orange scale looks awesome with blue standoffs.

Bronze and orange is one I like a lot. Blue...I'm leaning toward textured c/f as a top pick.

The textured CF I have looks more a dark grey than the black of my G10, I think that'd look good on blue, too. Too bad it's for a 24, not an 18. :P

Here's an example of the textured c/f near (atop) black G10 for an idea of the differences. Might also help that they are mounted to the XMs.

Yours has that same coal grey look to it that mine does. I like that better than the black of the G10. I'm sitting here looking at mine, wondering why it's not on one on my 24's. :p

BTW, I love that bottom bead. I also have one that's 2 tone, but yours is more distinctive color.

Wow, thanks for all the input. I'm thinking the textured CF might be my next best bet. I have a black on there now and my blue is very dark. I think the black is just toooooooo dark for it. Thinking the textured CF might just be light enough to get away with until I can find the elusive blue-black. The Orange wasn't horrible, except for the fact that I'm from Florida and my least favorite football team is the gators and well, if you have orange and blue in FL everyone thinks you are a gator fan ;)
