Hi, I have a question for everyone. The stonewashed or tumbled ti (I think they are the same) what do they tumble them in? Maybe it is something totally different than what I do to my brass, just curious. Is it secret or what. I tumble my brass for reloading and just wondering what they use at the ranch. Any way just a question if anyone knows the answer. Have a great evening everyone.

Stones. That's why they call it stonewashed.

You sure? I thought most companies use ceramic pieces to keep the look consistent over time (as rock will break down when coming in contact with steel, so the look will change over time, while ceramic is much harder than steel).

Most likely tumbled in a vibrating bowl in a medium (possibly rocks, but could be any of a multitude of media).
Yep, tumbling leaves a stonewashed finish.
