Stonewashing a Blade With a Thin Tip

I'm considering acid stonewashing a friend's Yojimbo 2. This knife has an extremely fragile tip, and my friend
has already had to do a little reprofile sharpening on it. I've stonewashed my own knives about 5 times now,
and it's usually resulted in a pretty blunted tip, depending on the blade shape. Does anyone have
any suggestions on how to do this?

I've found this thread with some searching, and it might be what has to be done, but I figured I'd ask first.

I was kicking the idea around too.

But decided against it because of the tip. Needle Point.

So no more stone washing.

The wire casing and elmers glue? Try it
I really don't see it working because of the type of glue.
Maybe gorila glue or shoe goo.
but alot of glues do not stick very well to smooth steel
and the ones that do will be a PIA to remove.

An acid wash would be as far as I would go without
harming the tip.

But Your knife your choice.
