Hey guys I wanted to pose some questions to you guys out there who are better at tinkering than I am. I love stonewashed finishes and am trying to get good at putting a stonewash on satin finished blades. So far I've had some success but my question is what media do you guys use and do you use a liquid solution? My best result so far was this kershaw blur that I put a heavier stonewash on (factory finish was basically satin).
So I used some fairly heavy and sharp lawn decor stones from my garden and a dish soap/WD-40 mixture in my dryer for about 40 minutes. Do you people use ceramic media, stones, brick, what? Any help would be appreciated, I'm getting a delica this week and want to make it purty.
