Heya guys,

was thinking of getting a Griptilian Gold class from Benchmade, but hated the black coating! Anyone knows of a service, from a reputable source, that would take the blade in and put a nice stone washed finish on it?

don't know about a service, but you would need to strip the black coating off the knife first. And it can be a PITA

That bad... hmm, guess I'm better of waiting for a knife I like then! Thanks for the tip! Those Benchmade gold class should come with options... not many people are fans of black coating... they look terrible after a few years of wear!
 
You could probably just switch the blade out with a satin grip blade and save the black M4 blade in case you sell it.

I was thinking something similar.

The Ritter blades are already stonewashed. One of them would be nice in a set of Gold Class scales.

Or a set of custom scales from Cuscadi are a lot cheaper than you might think...
 
Buy an orange ritter and swap the blades. You'll have an orange and black blade which looks sweet and a stonwash and cf which looks classy too. Then you have two configurations, and orange is good for not losing the knife in the woods :-)
