Hey guys,

I've been a long time SURVIVE! Knives customer and I've been lurking a lot on this SURVIVE! sub-forum. Just been really busy and haven't had too much time to contribute. However, I see that you guys are generally absolutely nuts for SURVIVE! knives! I am too, and I've been planning to snap a few pics of the two I have left. Excuse the crappy cell phone pictures, but I have a GSO 7/7 False Grind in 3V and a GSO 4.1 in M390. These are outstanding knives and I'm anxious to jump back into the SURVIVE! knives world now that I have more time to be able to use and experience the knives.

I assume the False Grind 7/7's are extremely difficult to find as I've only seen another one or two on the forum.

I've had a 3V 4.1 and a 3V GSO 10 that I ended up selling to free up some cash, but I do regret selling both now...of course.

Anyway, without further adieu, here you go, you SURVIVE! addicts...

I just recently saw a false grind over on the FB page and was immediately drawn to it. Really cool blade there, NYOutdoors! Thanks for sharing.

I really like the false grinds - i'm hoping that if they get the opportunity to do any custom work they'll include that as an option. Thanks!

pfft, the grind isn't even real

I don't want the most awesome s!k knife ever made

It doesn't look like all the drool rusted your 3V :D Glad you posted up NYOutdoors, those are beauties. Welcome to the forum.

So aside from looking totally BA, does the false grind provide any tangible benefit? Makes it more... "stabby" I guess. Is that a thing?

If this is on the face of it, a dumb question, feel free to haze me.

Ready... Go!

I think it would make it less practical for woods stuff, especially batoning. It would I crease the "stabbyness" like you said, so if you're in the military and need to stab bad guys or are a prepper and plan to use it defensively to protect your stockpile of Ramen noodles OR maybe the most practical for hunters, I've heard of folks looking for a good "pig sticker" for hunting wild hogs.
