I now have two older left-handed Umnumzaan's — 4-holed pivot pins, S30V blades — one remaining N.I.B. Neither has a stop lock.

What is a stop lock?

What is stop lock's function?

If presence or inclusion of stop lock is a significant improvement when compared with Umnumzaans omitting it, as best you can, describe why it wasn't part of original Umnumzaans' features set?
 
The over-travel stop is what I’m assuming your referring to. From just what I heard and read here, they added it later on because people kept trying to adjust the lock bar. A lot of people ended up Messing them up and sending them in as warranty work. That stop keeps you from extending the lock bar out too far. No other Crk has one that I know of.
Someone else probably has a better explanation but I’m thinking that’s the reason Crk added the stop. I could be wrong tho
