One of the drawbacks of living right around the corner from 1SKS it that you can spend money in a very expedient manner. I knew I had a Mini Commander on the brown truck coming this afternoon but needed a fix to get me through, so I stopped up at 1SKS to see what I could get on the cheap to hold me over. Cold Steel! Of course. Once I talked myself out of the XL Espada, the Spartan was a no brainer. What a smile inducing, ridiculous knife this is. I love it. I can't imagine any situation where I might carry it, but for $60 it's worth it just to fondle the thing once and a while. Amazing bang for the buck. Now the Mini Commander is just plain sexy and I think it will be my EDC for a good while til the new knife smells wears off it. All in all, it was a good day for my knife disease. I agree, the spartan is a no brainer once you hold it. Pics don't do justice to the Spartan, they don't show the quality.
