i am new to HI imports as you all know and i would like to know how does everyone store their blades--i want to make sure nothing goes wrong with any of them  :)

Keep it simple.

Car wax should work on the metal. Lanolin of some sort on horn. If you are rural, a bag balm of some sort should work. If not, some stuff from the drug store with high lanolin content. Dunno about wood, maybe termite protection? If not, then furniture polish of some sort should work.

The biggest damage-causing culprit, after moisture-creating rust, is dramatic change in humidity.

Don't fret. These things are made by folks who use them daily as tools to cut, dig, slice, dice, and rarely, intimidate. They are the top of the line--far beyond local renditions of the same things which last for generations.

Take it easy. They will be fine. It is going to be ok. You have a support group here.

Break-Free CLP on blade until it runs out. Then I might try Ballistol or something else. But the CLP works on the metal!

My wood is all in good condition, so I don't yet need to service that. When that comes, I'll figure it out here! :)

About once a year I coat the horn handles in Hooflex overnight and then wipe down the next day; I haven't done much of anything with my wood handles.

Blades that I don't intend to use in the near future get Turtle waxed; I treat the blades of my users with Thompson Center Bore Butter or Rem-Oil.

I treat most of the scabbards and frogs with Snow-Seal when I first receive them, just like my hiking boots.

Users get stored basically wherever I use them most. One I keep strapped to my backpack, one in my gear bag at work; a few others are hanging on the wall by that little loop on top of their frogs.

Some are displayed where folks can look at them. The rest go into a couple of large Rubbermaid boxes with a towel to keep them scuffing one another and a silica gel pack or two.

Bruise keeps his handy in a five gallon bucket for all the world to see.:D

I took Bruises' idea and upscaled it to a Black Lowe's bucket...

Ooo... tactical.

My bucket isn't suited for night ops. :(

Actually I upscaled John Powell's cardboard box. :)
