Once a year or so I go through and oil.I have knife rolls also it's a pain oiling so many knives.Im selling some to thin them out,In the dresser I have them rolled in old t shirts.I was thinking about some type of tool chest with drawers.Thank you all very much this is a great siteView attachment 518971

I've seen some expensive storage chests, but you can even buy a relatively cheaper locking cabinet with dimensions to accommodate some of your larger blades and just throw some padded shelf paper on the bottom.

Also, ZT, Spyderco and Boker make bags/pouches/rolls to hold folders and come in different sizes. I happen to like the Boker Knife Vault pouches (a small holds 6... large holds 12 IIRC).

Gerstner tool box...

But it's more for tools and small items.. it can work for folders..

If you are going to go with pouches, get Bill's custom pouches. He makes them to spec and offers some standard sizes.. I have a few that are great for folders...

Avoid the Benchmade brag bag thing, it is crap. But DO buy Benchmade knives, they are goods :)

In past similar threads I've seen shoe racks that hang on the closet door, locked in safes, tool chest, handmade wooded chest, spread out a shelf or drawers, shadow boxes hanging on the wall.

Hope this helps.

You could always sell them here if you want to thin them out.

I have sold some.I have swords, spears,wwI trench weapons,I have had many interests over the years.Now my interest is in kiridashi.Much easier to store because there small.Thank you all very much for your suggestions

Protect your investment, buy a gun safe and bolt it to the ground. That's what I did, and I store valuable documents and such in there as well.

This is the best solution to your storage without buying a heavy safe that is bolted to the ground. This will cost you 150-170 dollars.

This is what recommend to use. Waterproof, durable, and air tight.*** For all storage of outdoor gear and valuables. The foam can be cut with any serrated kitchen knife to your needs, removed as well. slits can be cut in the foam in the lid and bottom foam to insert flashlights (AAA Maglights), tools (Wrenches), and small knives. VERY durable case, completely waterproof, THICK plastic, secure metal clasps. The only thing missing is a way to lock the box up;

***Just two sets of these; drill holes, use modified U bolt trailer plates and lots of gorilla glue/two part epoxy (the trailer plate to the box) for a master lock. Place where ever you would like on the box for the best convenience and security.

DESSICANT*** Use at least 60-100grams, this will repel water and keep your box moisture free.

You metal goods are secure, easily moveable, moisture and air tight, controlled and safe. You will never worry about them again.

For your loose folding knives and small objects (wrenches, clips, screws, handles) Use bags of some sort to keep them from banging around and scratching. Either ziplock or some bag that is the perfect size.

Bags:
