I know this question has been asked before but I have never really found a good solution for storing folders in a safe. My idea of what I would like to use is a flat piece of material with pockets to slide the knives into made out of the material that Bore Store uses for their guns. I don't care if it rolls up as I want to lay it flat on the shelf of a safe. Anyone ever seen a product like this?

Try searching the forums, the are lots of threads with pictures and the names of items. This is like the 4th thread on this in as many weeks. Therse kinds of questions really belong in the Gadgets and Gear subforum too.

Benchmade Bragbag
Kershaw/ZT knifebags
Spyderco Spyderpac
Bills Custom Cases
Sack ups
That should get you started.

I've been storing several of my knives in their original boxes in my safe. the safe is dehumidified and I wipe each blade down with RIG grease (light coat). Is storing in the original boxes inviting corrosion problems?

They aren't made from Bore Store stocking material, but you can buy pistol magazine storage pouches, which I discovered can also hold folders. Depending on size, you can keep them in the boxes before you slip them into each slot.

Cant you simple make a few shelves on top of the one if the safe
and line it with the fabric?
Im thinking a 3 sided 1x2 oak frame on edge
with the front open, and make the
"shelf part out of peg-board for air circulation,
then just line it with the fabric?

I believe bore stores does make a product your are looking for.
