Was looking for some non-slip material for a knife storage box and the wife had some of the pebble grain latex shelf liner. It looked like the ideal material, but in a box I didn't move for 2 months it has left marks on the handle slabs of the knives that lay on their side. Knives resting on their springs apparently weren't effected. Have only tried a little soap and water and a light wipe with wd-40 to no help. Only had this type in two boxes and this picture is the worst. Be forwarned.:(

Thanks for the heads-up. I saw something with nickel plated metal. In a place where I worked we were shipping small flat sheets of copper that had been nickel plated. We layered them in boxes with thin sheets of Styrofoam material between each layer of metal parts to protect the nice plated finish. Well the Styrofoam surface pattern transferred to the plated metal parts and gave them a mottled blotchy look. So much for protecting the nice plated finish.
