For those that keep some of your Busses for non-use, what do you store them in for safe keeping? Don't want my kids getting to my knives and the sock drawer doesn't have any socks anymore. Just knives... No place to any new ones. :D

TIA

I don't think the brand is that important. I would find someone who carries them who is geographically close to you to save on shipping. Also Cabellas carries them.

Fort Knox makes a great safe, but they are a little pricey.

Check some local gun shops.

Some of the cheaper safes at Walmart might give you just enough protection to keep your kids out of your INFI.

Just bought a safe for the same purpose, to keep kids from my knives. Looked about and BJ's in my area has the Sentry CS3460 for $139.99 (which includes a $20.00 rebate). Hard to beat at that price. Very little wiggle room for a FBM, but otherwise OK. Good luck.

Thanks for the tip. But why would Sentry contain more moisture than other safes? Any idea how to deal with that potential problem?:jerkit:

You can pick up some desiccant for the safe. I have some in my safes to keep moisture from getting at my guns and knives. You can pick it up usually at your local hardware store, or sometimes even supermarkets carry it in the laundry aisle. I've tried a couple different kinds, but luckily for me, my work uses it to keep moisture out of some pf our communications equipment. The good thing about it is that when it becomes saturated, you can bake it in an oven and remove the moisture to reuse it. :D

Thanks again, I will try some dessicant. But is Sentry worse than other brands regarding moisture? Recommended it to a friend who was going to store his off-duty gun in it and do not want him to make a mistake.

IMO, they're good safes. I have a Sentry V332 that works well. Has a carpeted bottom and shelf, and uses a 4-way key in addition to a combination dial. I've never had any problems with it.
