I was visiting family in Connecticut over the weekend and stopped by Outdoor Sports in Wilton. I'd been in many times over the years and noticed the knife display. Even though the store had many fewer knives than a Bass-Pro-Shops-type store the quality of those knives on display was the best I've seen in person. There knives by Benchmade, Spyderco, DPx, Kizer and Kershaw. Usually the outdoor stores have a few Kershaws, Griptillians and the lower tier Spydercos, but at this Outdoor Sports store they had: by Spyderco: a Sage 2, Dragonfly II, Air and a fixed blade among others; the DPx HEST, a Kizer folder with sculpted titanium handles and an S35V blade and several Benchmade knives from the standard to the less common. The salesman also knew what he was talking about as he was obviously an enthusiast himself. I didn't notice the prices while there but looking at their website it seem that, unfortunately, their prices are not competitive and appear to be the MSRP. It's right on Route 7 not far from I 95 and the Merritt Parkway, check it out if you're in the area.
