Some get scared 
when they see a Hinderer, some don't know or care much about knives at all....then you get that one person that says, "Holy crap, whats that!?
Had a buddy do that yesterday. To Rick and Robs credit, Dave (the Buddy) is an inventor/designer/manufacturer in his own right.
Looked at the XM18 rolling it over in his hand and open/close. Shook his head and smiled, "Holy crap, never seen anything like that. Wow is that well made. Took a lot of time."
There are compliments and then someone who actually designs and builds things - compliments.
Thought I'd pass that on.
I'm sure there are more interesting, more entertaining stories about Hinderer's. We all know how great they are, wonder who all see's these beauties and what they have to say.
