I have none... having only just arrived here during the summer my time is short but well spent. I have heard some wonderful comments and stories on Jerry's generosity and values. For the most part the man leaves no posts on himself, so I have to conclude that he must also be somewhat humble when it comes to his life's work and where it has taken him. I have also concluded, from some of his posts, that he is ready to defend and standby his work and ethics as a knifemaker. Which has earned him (and I'm sure others) my respect. Something I don't give easily.

Papathud eluded to something on another thread that gave me the idea to start this one, that and the threads started by MikeH. That some of you have know this man for sometime while others have only recently had the chance to meet him in person, but I'm sure that those who have known him for a long time or those just recently have some wonderful stories to tell. I don't know about the rest of you but I would love to hear them. I may never get the chance to shake hands with this man, so I would value the thoughts and stories of others, so I might get the opportunity to know him better through those of you who do.

Short, funny, sad, serious or anything else that would add to what we already know of Jerry Busse would be greatly appreciated. I've grown to admire and respect a great number of the people here, so your thoughts and stories would be valued. Thanks... :)
 
Solstice, Well Said! I am fairly new myself, even as a lurker. The only things I can say on this subject would echo your post, and, that Mr. Busse has supplied me with the best tool I own, and that is an epic to me.

Jerry has alot of great stories to tell.

I had a partial list of story headings listed in the lost post.

If this one works I may try to repeat them here.
 
I think the story about the development of Modified INFI and INFI and the Transversion (Spelling?) Wave heat treat is a good story.

As is the story about the Mean Street.

There are no doubt stories the need a little more time to go by.

When I was The West Coast Regional Whatever, I thought perhaps to write a short book about Busse knives, and Their history, when they were sold and their values at the time of writing.

I Talked to Jerry alot on the phone and for many hours in person, I also spent alot of time on the phone and in person with Dave Roberson (The at the time National Director of sales or some such title,(Got to check my notes or his old card)

I took alot of notes and made alot of recordings, in mind of writing the book.


But these are Jerry's stories to tell, not mine at this time.
 
i typed a long story about a few hogs that would bring a tear to your eye.... i stopped to have a drink and accidently deleted it:(

then i thought.... i never even drank til i met jerry during a paternity test, it just started with that one drink,

soon we were drinking more! the waiter told us to leave, tried to take our keys, jerry got pissed and leaving me with the hoooooka in my mouth went after him with a hard knife!

i asked jerry (hey jerry, wazz that cool looking blade you dice3d up thet waiter with?)

he then told me he was a master at kniofe makeing and if i would like to try one... duhhhhh (i said) i'll just check in my bank card with kassi (babe) and you just send me knives till i puke!!! (papathud also raped me during this time)

my wife caught wind of this and threatened to cut off my mos valuable assets and her left nurple!:eek:

we then went to another bar mostly because we were running like RATS being chased by a tiger and that busse left his charge card at a different drinking place

we just sat down and because he had lost his card and i was now very non sober
 
soon after he bailed me out of jail (for free) and bail himself out of las vegas. cops never even had a clue who he was!

since then i started collecting busse's (how is that pronounced?) large and small and have many children living near jerry

I thought that was "Consensual" you did after all thank me several times in private(on the phone) then again more than once on this very forum.

You just seem to like it Rough.(at least you have the right knife for Rough now!!)

no, i can afford them now with the price of gas...

And here I thought you Sold gas for a living.

I have sent many knives across the country for people to hold, fondle, rub on their bodies and for the stated purpose of taking a "Few" pictures.
