I am into metal detecting and have a metal detector that I store in a metal shed. I got curious and concerned as to the temperature and humidity levels, so I put my electronic temp gauge in there.

At 11:00am the temp was 70 and the humidity was 69%.

*How hot can it get before electronic equipment is at risk?

*How about humidity?

Also,...

Are there silica gel type products for storage areas?

Consumer-grade electronics is generally rated for storage from -40 to +150F and 0 to 99% humidity (non-condensing).
