So, the Vader's 7 stock sheath went thru almost the same process as Yoda's 10: this time the liner was kept and a kydex "collar" was glued to it; the snaps were removed and a Vader tag was riveted to the pocket flap:
the I realized it didn't look as good as Yoda's. While the 10 has the alliance symbol in red, it's a perfect match for the red kydex:
not so much with the 7; the imperial symbol in white plus a white lanyard kinda clashes with the red liner. Hindsight is 20/20 and I should have used a black piece; oh well. Time to make a sheath! So I ordered a sheet of white kydex. I had this idea that I drew a while ago but hadn't done of a "fingered" frog for a kydex sheath. Time to get busy then. After the kydex was molded/trimmed/drilled and I was satisfied with the retention, it was time to play with leather. A piece of veg-tan was cut and fitted, drilled, riveted, dyed and sealed. I am really satisfied with the result:
I can picture a trooper or Vader walking down an aisle with this strapped to the belt as the Imperial March plays on
