Well, here is my story:
About 3 weeks ago I picked up a cheap Rostferi Balisong Butterfly knife. Not caring that I over paid for it I took it home, and began practicing with it. These things are addictive ("The bali-bug") and I could not put it down. Eventually I decided to graduate to a Benchmade. Wanting to try one first I decided to wait until they came to knife shops (and were regular production-I was scared that I would not want to use it if it was not "regular") I reserved one at a local shop - then waiting while I heard that they were backordered, I finally got the call. They are in! A local shop got 4 BM 42’s in plain blade/titanium finish, and well I got the first one out of the store in the history in BM42’s. I got to tell you these knives are cool and have very nifty sheaths! Mine has a few cosmetic flaws but I still love it! They are extremely sharp (shaving sharp-I don't know if I own a knife this sharp-until tonight I had never been cut by a balisong-even with some basic throws, but that has all changed). Patience every one, local shops are starting to get them (regular production). I don't know what I am going to do with all of the knives that I bought when I was waiting to get my 42 but I will figure something out! Good Luck everyone! Ok, thanks for reading my rambling/inconsistent story. Sorry to start a new thread about 42's.

Thanks for all your help so far!
