I have a have a German Shepherd/Boxer mix and he's 13 years old. I take him on a walk twice a day to keep those old joints feeling prime and obviously so he can just get out of the apartment. Anyways we're walking along and just when we get to the second half of our walk him and I both notice a something small and black crouching in a shadow in the middle of the street. I couldn't make out what it was but at first thought it was a cat. No biggie if it was we'd just walk on by and it would mind its business. But as we started getting closer it starts moving toward us and I knew there's not a stray cat brave enough to move on two big animals out in the street like that. It just kept on coming along and I still could tell what it was and couldn't make out the shape completely because it was so dark. But I wasn't going to turn around and I wasn't about to pull out my pistol for something that size. It was literally just cat size but the way it moved freaked me the hell out. So as we get really close I draw my knife and loosen my grip on the leash so the old man could handle his business if he had too. As I got about 10 feet away from the thing.................................................................IT WAS A BLACK PLASTIC BAG.

DA DA DAAAAAA!!! That was awesome by the way. I bet it got the adrenaline going for a minute

Oh it sure did...my dog's too I'm sure his hair was raised from his neck to his tail lol....mine would have been if I had any back there.

Should have at least stabbed the bag to death to make you feel like you accomplished something! That bag deserved it just for scaring the hell out of you.:p

NOW THAT'S FUNNY!!! I swear to you I had the same thing happen to me minus my dog. It startled the hell out of me and after I realized what it was I had to look around hoping no one saw me. I calmly re-sheathed my neck knife and kept walkin...

Good times right there---thanks for the memory:D

LOL!! Imagine me doing that the moment a car comes around the corner! hahahaha

Haha see, you know how I felt. I actually laughed (out loud) at myself and the whole situation the rest of the way home...

Sounds like you might want to add a flashlight to your carry. This story made me laugh, mostly because I could just picture it happening. Thanks for sharing.

You're right I haven't even thought much about that...don't know why especially after this haha....

That right there is funny. I've never drew my knife, but in a suspicious area, I've put my hand on it, ready to go.

It's all fun and games until.......plastic bags are dangerous and no laughing matter, thats why they have all those "warning choking hazard" labels on them. Someone could have been killed here.....great story....I think we all have been caught off guard by a shadow or run away bag....you were just brave enough to tell the story....lol
