STR, have you ever done a backspacer for a Mini-Dejavoo (BM745)?

I don't like the factory black plastic one and I wondered if you could make a purple Titanium one for it? I'm speaking of the Benchmade 745 Mini-Dejavoo.

Also, I'm not sure if we are ok to post questions like this here or if we should address this type of thing in email to you?

I apologize if I should be sending this via email.

Thanks!

Please feel free to post here. Part of the appeal to start this forum was to ease the amount of emails I get. Anymore I field 300 to 500 a week. Not all knife related but many are and this helps me.

Some things need to be brought up privately but otherwise I like having them here when possible.

I need to see the knife. Not familar with it. Can you scan or take pics of it and post the knife all sides??

Thanks

Here are some images of the backspacer on my 745BK. If you look close you can see that it is sort of rounded and stickes up past the liners and G10 handles. I don't like that. I was hoping to just get a titanium spacer made in either purple or royal blue that sat flush with the liners. Maybe even after that have someone do some filework to the backspacer to give it that little extra bit of neatness.

I don't see a problem there at all depending on the thickness requirement of the spacer. In a worse case scenario it would be some weird thickness not even available in from the ti suppliers, or if close I might be able to make it work if I replace the washers in the pivot with something thinner or something thicker.

I know a young man (Muskrat Man) that does a wonderful job filing and I'm sure he'd love to do it for you. I've considered sending him some I've done but have yet to do it.

Mail it to me at your convenience and we'll go from there.
