Hi folks -

I have had a BM Mini Grip for some time, but I have not carried it because the clip allows too much of the handle to protrude from my pocket than I am comfortable with.

I read about STR's Lowrider clips, and decided to contact him and ask to have a denim-blue clip made for my knife.

I posted on STR's Forum here at BF and posted my request.

Less than 20 minutes later, STR had emailed me saying that not only did he have what I needed (already made), but that he could get it in the mail if I told him I wanted it for sure.

Needless to say, I wanted it! STR is a man of his word, and the clip was in the mail, I believe it was even before my payment was sent!

Yesterday I received the clip, and I have to say, it is a work of art!

The denim blue is perfect - it is great "jeans camo" - I really like it.

Here are pics of the clip, and me putting it on the knife using my $1.49 Harbor Freight mini-torx bit set:

STR puts a cool logo on the back of these clips - wish it was on the front, but that would perhaps detract from the "camo"

You'll only use two screws to put the ultra-lightweight STR clip back on

She fits like it was custom made by a master craftsman....hey, it was!

Thanks STR, your clip made a new knife out of my little grip - we'll have to talk someday soon about a lowrider for my Ritter full sized grip.

I can highly recommend STR's work and he is very pleasant to deal with.

best regards -

That is very cool mqqm! STR does have a cool design style when it comes to knives and knife related paraphenalia.

I really dig the 'denim camo'. I cannot say enough good things about STR either... I've got one of his low-rider clips and a couple of his little prythings.... great work, great guy. nice snag.

i have a lowrider for my paramilitary, although mine is just bead blasted. the blue looks great!

It looks Great. STR is top notch and a class act. You can always
count on him and his work. Kevin

Thanks guys. I don't know if its just the angle or if the clip overhangs off the end too much but I guess its not bad for doing it blind without the knife in hand and mailing it out for the owner to install himself. So long as you guys are happy I'm happy generally speaking.

I do think its about time for a new punch though. Looks like my "S" has seen better days and too many hard materials to be very effective anymore. :D

Hi ar0maticdecay -

The clip was $34 delivered.

It is titanium, hand formed, and is custom anodized.

After seeing one in person, I can attest that it is worth every penny.

For me, it made a great knife that I would not carry, a great knife I WILL carry.

best regards -

Brules1, can you post a photo of the mini griptilian clipped in a pocket please?

I hate the stock mini grip clip

STR's low rider clips are excellent. I have them both for my Para 2 and Delica.

Dan,

I'd love to see a picture of you Para II with it's STR clip. I have one on my Mini-Manix and was thinking of getting one for my Para II. Thanks

Just chiming in to say that STR's stuff is the bomb and he is a hell of a good dude.
