I have found that i really don't need a curve at the tip of my knives since most all i do is slice paper. The only thing i do with a blade curve is push cut small things on a table.
So what modern smallish knives have one straight edge?
By modern, i mean things like 440c, g-10, ajustable pivot, general sturdy construction etc.
A cold steel Boar hunter would be cool, but... almost nine inches? jeez
That new Boker framelock, whatever it's called, is rather neat...

Straight edge is Wharncliffe or Sheepshoof. Boar Hunter you mentioned was wharncliffe. Small modernish there's few. Also small Böker Plus vox Gnome is extremely small nearly straight edge fixed blade.

For folder Spyderco Centofante 4 has classical straight edge, Kershaw Needs Work, Kershaw leek has nearly straigh edge (modified wharncliffe) I think Kershaw Leek or Spyderco Centofante 4 would suit very well what you're looking for.

+1 on all of these

The Leek comes in quite a few variants. In addition to the standard version with a Sandvik 14C28N blade (which itself comes with various handle/blade colors), Kershaw also makes one with an S30V blade/G10 handle and another with a composite blade that has a D2 cutting edge.

Another, slightly larger knife with the blade shape you're wanting, good materials (440C blade, G10 handle), and a reasonable price is the Boker Plus G4.

Depending on your budget and whether you want something a bit more exotic (in both design and materials), you might also consider getting on the pre-order list for a Kershaw Tilt.

Take a look at the 'Moki' lineup from Japan. Lots of straight blades in different sizes, but not with a warnie shape.

The Kershaw 1820G10 'Needs Work', a 2 7/8" Wharncliffe blade of 14C28N steel, is likely what you want. Here are two more I have - the Boker Haddock, with it's curved ~ 3.5" blade of N690BO steel - 5mm at the spine - is shown above the discontinued Benchmade 154CM bladed 425 Gravitator, a Ti-liner-lock. You could have four or more 'Needs Work' for what a Haddock would cost - if you could find one (They are new - hard to find.).

The 'Needs Work' begs to be used.
