straight razor help

HELLO ALL!

I am sorry if this thread is misplaced but I looked and did not see a better place for it .

that being said I need help getting a straight razor identified, I have looked and not found one that looks like it .

the blade is marked WM ELLIOT & co. MADE IN GERMANY, and the number 5

There is actually a whole forum dedicated to straight razors and shaving. If you do a google search for "straight razor forums" you'll find it. You make have better luck there.

As for you question, you know that it was made in Germany by WM Elliot and Co. Exactly what other info are you looking for??

wm.elliot was in existence from 1880-1907 then sold to another company that used there trademark, so it may very well be quite old. Now for the bad news the scales are chipped leading me to think blade probably isn't centered well, blade also has a good amount of hone wear, leading me to think it probably won't be worth all that much. But I could be absolutely wrong no expert at straights by any means.
