Being a replica, and not made for actual shaving, the quality of the steel (e.g., composition, hardness) is questionable. It will likely not allow you to get as fine an edge as is necessary to actually get a close and comfortable shave.

Oh well I wasn't planning on shaving with it, eventually I hope to shave with straight razors but I really only bought this because I love the movie and have been interested in straight razors lately
