This is a shell handle Ulster 58OT. It also has a raised diamond shield with DE in it (Diamond Edge).
The only 58OT's I have seen before looked like all the Schrade or Schrade Walden Old Timers with the saw cut brown Derlin handles. Ulster made a few Old Timer patterns in the early 1960s when Schrade Walden bought out Ulster & Imperial. As I recall the Diamond Edge was an Imperial name they got from a company they had bought out.
So this knife has the DE name from Imperial, the Imperial shell handles, the Ulster name & the Old Timer name from Schrade Walden. While not and expensive knife, it sure has me scratching my head.
Does anyone have an idea of what this is? It seems to be a real amalgamation. I have seen a couple for sale on ebay.
