I have been attending gun shows in Alabama for many years, and have never seen a Busse for sale at any of them, until today. Found a shiny new, unused Custom Shop Active Duty (Satin/Snakeskin) with sheath at the Alkazar Shrine Temple Gun Show in Montgomery. I was tempted to buy it, but Kim and I both already have one. The unusual thing about it was that it had a large choil on it, almost the size of the one on my FSH. The guy said that he returned it to be modified that way, as the regular choil made his finger touch the blade edge. It did look like a factory, rather than a homemade, job. I though to myself, but didn't ask, why would anyone need to choke up on an Active Duty. I called Daniel (Galaxytech) to see if he wanted it, but he was leery of the enlarged choil as well.

Oh, well. It was beautiful, anyway.

MIke,,

I have been thinking of that knife since you called me this evening,,

really wish it could have been confirmed that it was indeed a factory Busse Modification (enlarger choil)..

but with those aftermarket "mods",,, you just never know who actually done it.

would really like to have added it to my humble collection :D

Blah who cares if it was aftermarket! These two are aftermarket and are freaking awesome looking!! It's still Infi and can take a serious beating! :p

Is that show open sunday. It's not too far away might go check it out! Last gun show was a big dissapointment.

It is open Sunday. It is not a large show, but it has a good variety of guns, not many knife dealers. Gun shows are strange. Sometimes you attend one and there are bargains everywhere. Other times, everything seems to be marked up too much. This show was in the second category. I did see a NIB Schlatt and Morgan Mountain Man folder at $90, though. If this dealer is at the show in B-ham next week, as he usually is, I may have to acquire one of those.

That's a nice price. Those are ATS-34, aren't they? I have one S&M stockman with ATS-34 blades. Probably my favorite slipjoint. Half stops and great walk and talk. Fit and finish are superb.

That's right, ATS-34. This dealer, and older guy, labels his knives with full markup price, but when you talk to him he will deal. These were labeled $153 or so, and he immediately went to $90. I have a NIB large classic Sebenza
that he sold me for $275.

Even nicer is the fact that you get to pick out the one you like the most.
