Strange Benchmade Feat

Yesterday I came in from doing some work outside and grabbed an IBC rootbeer. I reached for my BM Rescue Hook and proceded to pop my rootbeer open. But as I went to put it back it it's sheath I noticed that the bottle cap was sticking to the lanyard hole of the knife. In disbelief I grabbed a paper clip and as I put it on the lanyard hole, it stuck too. I concluded that the lanyard hole is magnetic! I have no idea what might have caused this but any answers would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. I don't have a Gold Membership but will send a picture to anyone who does.

Well, you probably simply accidently magnetized it by leaving it near a magnet...happened to my CRKT Neck PECK.

Probably there was some magnetic chuck machining that went on to make the recue hook and what you found is just some residual magnetism.
