Took receipt of my new CG SJ the day before last. Had a convex edge put on it. Sharp! Couldn't wait to use it so I decided to help my wife in the kitchen last night. She loves sucking me into kitchen chores when a new knife arrives. I cut up about 6-7 carrots. Then, the strangest thing happened.
As I was washing off the blade, I noticed the crinkle coat that made contact with the carrots turned this cool color green. The "crinkle" coating made it look like metalflake. Actually looks pretty cool.
I'm going to run it by the Busse shop to see what they think may have caused it to happen. I guess a chemical reaction to the beta carotine? I'll have my wife take a pic to post here. A few more carrots and it could pass as a varient!
Anyone else ever have this happened? I know I'm not the only one to cut up veggies while waiting for the warmer weather to come....
