strange manix 2 xl

I recently bought a manix 2 xl from the forums. He says he bought it from amazon and he does not have the box. I take his word for it, but there is an issue with the knife. I have looked at videos and pictures of the knife, and the plastic thing to disengage the lock is usually clear. Mine, however, is black. Did original owner mod it? I highly doubt this because the plastic thing is exactly like my "small" manix 2, except it is black. Is this a factor error? Maybe Spyderco made a couple of these?
 
It is fine just a recent change Spyderco made
 
This is legit. I have bought a couple recently both have black cage. I actually prefer the black cage on the XL. Just leave the clear one exclusive on the smaller Manix 2.
 
If you wanna trade i got the older one with the clear lock and non milled liners
