Strange question?

I was wondering (you’ll probably think this is strange) if there is a way to find someone who could take my old henckels knife and rework it as it has been ruined by sharpening with a ceramic sharpener too much by yours truly. I really liked this knife, it was very comfortable to use and nicely balanced. Maybe the blade could be reworked?

Picture of the knife might help to determine what needs to be done.....

As a registered user, you can post pictures using a picture hosting site. I use Imgur, but there are others. Once you have uploaded a picture to the hosting site, copy the web address of the picture. Note: picture web addresses must end in .jpg or .gif

Then go to your post and click the image tool on the toolbar next to the smiley tool. Click the link icon in the popup. (Looks like a chain.) Paste the picture address into the window. Then click the INSERT button.

It sounds like you need to reprofile the edge. You could do that with a guided system and some coarse stones then resume sharpening as it should be sharpened. People with a lot of experience could reprofile it with good stones just by hand.

Where are you located? Someone here may know of a service or knifemaker near you that may be able to help.

As mentioned, pictures will help.

Henckels make good knives. If the knife has sentimental value keep it and get a new one. easier to use a new one while you look into sharpening of the old one.
