I was just looking at a Sears circular from the Sunday newspaper, and they are selling the Sears version of one of those "super-knives" -- you know, a lockback folder that uses disposable utility razors.

In the fine print, it says, "Not available where prohibited by law."

Where in the United States is it prohibited by law for a person to purchase a BOX-CUTTER KNIFE?!

IMO, in this case Prohibited by Law could mean at airports, places that cater to minors, etc.

I would say it is just there way of covering their butt. Their lawyers have most likely advised they to put that warning on any knife like tool.
