Strange Shaped Double Bit

I found this strange shaped double bit. 3 lbs. Eye is 2 5/8" x 5/8". It has a couple of very faint letters stamped on one side. Is this axe just worn down from wear and sharpening? Also there is a weird dimple on one side. Any ideas on this double bit.

I plan to hang this axe on a 28" or 30" House haft.

its not so much a strange shape, it's just worn out, very worn out. At one point it was probably a normal sized michigan, but now the heels are very very worn out.

I thought it was worn down from sharpening.

For me....for as little as I will use it....it has a lot of life left in it. I will split some firewood for the wall tent stove at elk camp and deer camp. Other than that chore it will have an easy life sitting in the tool shed.
