Just bought this T.OPS knife and I can not find any information on it. The knife looks like a Steel Eagle 107E but has 4 lanyard holes rather then 3, No other marks on the knife other then what is shown in the picture. Is it a pre-production knife or something else? Any help would be Greatly appreciated.

Did the company ever go by e.g. Tactical Ops, T.OPS? I am sure TOPS is a acronym for Tactical Operational Products, But not sure if the company ever used a period after the T. Maybe a early tops knife? The actual quality of the knife is spot on to a TOPS..

Looks like the Steel Eagle 107E but with two handle bolts where there should be three . Also they do have that same wording on the blade but otherwise I am not sure.

I would send TOPS knives an email with a picture and ask them. Who knows, maybe it's one of their early prototypes........ or maybe just a cheap copy. I would ask though.

The 054 on it could be the production number. Or it could be the model. I have never heard of TOPS going by T.OPS. Maybe they did that before they became a major player in the knife world. Or it could just be a slightly off counterfeit, off just enough to be called something different.

I shot a email off to TOPS with a picture I only hope for great news, I think if it was this nicely made they would have gotten the TOPS logo to a tee like the rest of the knife even with the good ol' U.S.A. stamp, very well made sheath, superb grind and the 054. It was bought on ebay from a high level seller with 99.9% feedback overall and 100% feed in the past year with the option to return if things do not go as planned...

I feel comfortable enough with this picture of an Anaconda 9 with collaboration from Hoods Woods that it is authentic. Note the period after the T kinda faint because of the bad resolution.

Image from 2001.

Edit:
Thanks to those that helped me bang this out. Believe it or not the blade was for sale on ebay since (Sep-27-11 07:22:26 PDT) lol!! XD The lady had it named weird.. I think it botched the search results. Paid a decent price for it, In great shape has never touched a stone, probably 10+ years old with just a little bit of sheath wear on the grind line.

Update: Called TOPS and this knife is literally No.054 of their first run of this model 107E!! Pretty cool if I do say so myself. Guy said I was lucky to have found it, being in mint condition was a bonus. The knife is also Handmade/forged..

That's great to hear, I'm glad everything turned out well for you. Now you just have to decide if you are gonna use it or not.....
