when weighted down with everything (3 classes worth of books) it weighs in at 28lbs 20oz. The lunada alone is 7lb's 14oz.

what I carry in the lunada (and pockets):

the method:
additional reinforcing strap attached to the d-rings via 2 slider bars and a grimlock on the handle platforms outside loop. This keeps the foam of the normal lunada handle from getting crushed.

falcon 2's side straps fed through the shoulder strap and the bottom belt strap to keep it to the side of the bag.

This is a nexus repair slider attached to the bottom row of pals on the lunada. It's then fed through a grimlock attached to the bottom corner of the falcon, this keeps the front locked down so it's not bouncing back and forth, and the front looks like one solid bag.

and the lunada shoulder strap is then fed through the bottom straps on the falcon

It is pretty ridiculous looking, but it's nice to not have to do the strap over strap carry when walking to class. I don't know how long the fabric on the top strap will last with nearly 8 pounds hanging off it, but it's a pretty sturdy set up.

You my friend, have a goal now.

This is just a quick fix for carrying two bags at school. I only really have that back pack when I'm in school, and it's annoying to try to carry both at the same time unattached. If the lunada's had d-rings that allowed it to be mounted to a corner to corner shoulder strap I wouldn't have to attach them because it would be easy to carry over one shoulder without crossing straps. Given that the lunada is my edc set up, I don't want to throw all of it's gear into a back pack I'm not going to carry with me because it's too big.

I get that it's a ridiculous set up, but it serves a particular purpose that's difficult to do any other way.

I wouldn't say its ridiculous, its just we all know you'll get the stares ;)

But I see your problem. I'm in school myself and the regular book bags weren't cutting it. However, I just converted to a rucksack and it tackles my capacity deficiency quite well. Then again, since already had the two modular bags, I could see where you're coming from. Wasn't trying to insult or anything, its just a man needs to learn when to stop mounting bags on top of other bags! But it does look pretty spiffy in its own way.
