Does anyone have a Streamlight Task Light? Specifically the AA and C battery sizes? How do the perform?

Had this long response written out, but I think you'll do a lot better to check out this site or by going over to CandlePowerForums.com and running a search for them.

My less than expert opinion is that they are good lights for the money and I'm planning to buy more so they can't be all that bad. They are really solidly built lights. I have the 1L and the 2D and will be picking up at least another 1L, and maybe a 2L and/or 3 AAA. I think these will make great car lights and some will be going out as gifts as well.

ps...if you do buy one (or more), I highly recommend Bright Guy.
 
I second Zenghost. they are machined really well and have an excellent mix of light output and runtime. I was a little surprised that streamlight has them made in china, but that's probably how they keep the price so low.
 
looks like the 3C is the brightest, can be focused more therefore throws the best, and has excellent battery life. You should be pleased.
