Well, I recently started carrying my MicroStream again, I've been carrying a stylus pro. I carry my sebenza clipped in my right pocket and my MicroStream at the bottom of my pocket. Being tired and in a rush, I took my shorts off, threw em in the wash with my other clothes and didn't think twice. Being small and light, the MicroStream snuck past me. Putting my EDC stuff in order on my nightstand, I realized something was missing. I ran downstairs, after a 45 minute wash cycle and then putting my clothes in the dryer I figured it was a goner. As I get to the stairs I hear it smashing around in the dryer, now 20 minutes into the cycle. I open the door and it falls out button first, hit the ground and flashed me in the eyes, then rolled to my feet (I took the pocket clip off it). I opened it up, no water. Battery was fine. Look in the lens, no water. So I figure what the hell, I'll turn it on. And it works! It's been three days since the incident and its fine, so I'm saying that its a durable light. It's about two years old now, and no worse for wear. It has no marks from its most recent ordeal, so I'm happy. It's a nice small light (ore c4 upgrade). I was kind if hoping it was dead so I could order the most recent edition, but since it survived I guess that's reason enough to keep it in my pocket.

Have done the same thing to mine a couple of times. A tough little light for sure. The best thing about them is if they do finally give up the ghost, they are easily replaced because of the low price.

I keep the Microstream's big brother, the Stylus, in the sleeping chamber, and carry its cousin - the Protac 2AAA - on a daily basis. Both are fed with Eneloop rechargeables. They work, and they aren't spendy.

I used to edc a Surefire LX2 Lumamax. Then I realized that carrying such a huge light is VERY uncomfortable. Even though I was spoiled by high lumen outputs. I still decided to give the Microstream a try just because it was so small.

Well, it has officially become my favorite light so far. I love it! Even though it is not very bright at all. It still does get the job done and I always forget it's in my pocket.

I have a Preon 2 on the way that I just snagged off the exchange section for $15.00. It's about as slim as the Microstream but 1,000 times more powerful and efficient. I'll probably end up carrying both! :p
