I picked up one of these little lights on clearance at the Uncle Sam's military surplus store near my house. First thing that I have to say is that I have owned numerous pen lights, all of which have left me feeling dissapointed. In fact, I got so sick of pen lights that I started to use a AAA Mag Light at the hospital. Secondly, I have looked at these lights for quite a while but I hadn't bought one because they looked like they were made of cheap plastic. Through Don Rearic's site, I found out that they were made of solid aluminum and at that point, I had to have one. I ended up picking the red LED model because it supposedly has the highest output of the 4 colors. At first, I wasn't really expecting much from this light because of it's size, but I stand corrected! Although the light output is a bit shy of the Arc AAA, I feel that it isnt far behind. The other cool thing about this light is that, as Rearic mentions, it would substitute as a makeshift impact tool if need be. My normal light carries include an Arc AAA and an Inova 5XT. However, it seems that I'm going to have to make some room!

Streamlight Stylus lights are very nice....I have a doctor friend that uses one daily and a close friend's wife who is a nurse also uses one at work and they both are impressed with them. I have a couple(white & blue) and they are very bright but I have not seen the red. All in all, they are pretty cool lights.

I have a white one. I've been happy with it. It has come in real handy crawling around my attic. I clipped it to the back of my collar and grabbed it when needed.

The store near me is getting more white ones soon (so they say) so that will probably be my next purchase, followed by a blue light. I have also found that they are comfortable clipped to my sleeping pants.

I carry a Stylus daily. Handy little gadget. You will be amazed at how long the batteries last.

One of the guys on the department bought everybody one for Christmas. (we have a small department...) Anyhoo, thing seems pretty keen- I just carry it next to my pen in the uniform jacket.

The Arc AAA is brighter than the stylus? Which stylus do you have--the 2 cell or the 3 cell? I have a 3 cell blue led stylus and it's pretty bright--been thinking about getting an Arc AAA, though.

I have the 3 AAAA cell stylus. The Arc AAA seems to be brighter to me (my non-scientific response). I'm sure if you look around you'll be able to find the techinical info. The stylus and arc are both great lights!
