Street Bowie Ripoff with a good temper!

I was joking with Nemo that if I keep making knives Fred Perrin is going to fly across the Atlantic and kick my butt! Here's a knife I forgot I even made until today that is obviously highly inspired by the Street Bowie. In fact, I set out to do my own interpretation of one. I just got my own Street Bowie (made by Fred's student, Pepe) today and I like his better because of the handle, but my version isn't bad, if I do say so myself. The handles are G-10 and I was trying to pull off a faux Imapala horn effect, which failed miserably. I'll attack it with my Dremel and see if I can't make it into a decent rendition of Jens Anso's textured handles. Keep your fingers crossed! There are red liners under the G-10. This is my most "popping" hamon to date. This was clay heat treated and I spent a lot of time finishing the blade to get a good etch, which obviously paid off. Let me know what you think!

Looks great too me. Post another pic after you work the handle over. :)

Here are some more pics with the "rehab'd" handle. Was it successful? I think so, but I'll let you be the judge. I've had a couple people say it isn't their thing, but someone will like this organic-looking random texture.I basically just attacked it and random with the drum sander attachment on my Dremel, smoothed the peaks with 220 grit paper, sprayed with WD-40 and here it is! Patent pending...
