Gents, Ladies, and Friends,

My hands were rested and with some relaxing beats playing in the background, I decided ---- that I needed another mirror. Now before you label me vain --- allow me to impress you first.

It's the Street Scrapper 4 that's been stripped. It's high shoulders have been slightly convexed and polished. The V edge has been optimized at 19 degrees per side (38 degrees inclusive) and with approximately a .5 micron thick apex. It's a basically a mini light saber. It easily whittles a single hair fiber into several strands. Come take a peek --- before Brovado finds it. ;)

Man that looks good. I need to pick one of those up.

Great looking edge. I love my ss4! Nice work

Wow...that looks great!

How long does it stay at a .5 micron apex?

Thanks guyS! I love this little blade. Timmy -- it really depends on the kind of application and how much force is applied on the edge, but generally it lasts long enough to be highly effective for whatever is needed. Maybe one day I'll set up a formal test to see how long it lasts with rope, meat, cardboard, and simple wood carving.

How many strop sets do you have for the wicked edge. I can get close to that but not exactly
Hey brother -- my edges get 5 micron, 3.5 micron, 1 micron, and .5 micron Balsa Wood stropped.

Nice! Need to try out those texturized res c scales one day,, should've gotten a 411.
You know a knife is sharp,, when you're nervous shaving hair off your arm,, because it keeps catching on your skin,, that one looks like it does for sure!!

and here I was, thinking I was hot s*** with my edgepro.... I need to step up my polishing game!

I think Sr101 takes an amazing edge and holds it for a very long time.

Although i just freehand on a dmt duo fold and then strop on leather with metal polish. It does cut very well.

Wow, I love this forum, I'm always learning here. Those are some very nice edges!! Do you use the wicked edge sharpener Rob? I have used the one cricket Dave mentions but I have never seen that mirror finish like that, it looks wicked indeed. I got a KME I think it's called, a few months ago but haven't used it much, I think I need to get a strop, I've never used one before.
You guys are awesome.

CricketDave --- SR-101 is indeed fantastic for edge retention and general abuse. This Street Scrapper is made of INFI and it takes a gorgeous, clean, and very fine edge. I wish I was better at free handing --- but I'm not consistent enough for my tastes.

Man! The light off that edge can blind! Very smooth, clean work.

Hey Brother,

Yes I use the Wicked Edge Field & Sport Pro model with several accessory stones and strops. Getting a mirror finish like this usually takes a while and needs several in between grit progressions to get there --- but once it does --- it's truly something special.

Thanks man, I really appreciate your reply. I tell you I had never seen anything like that before; it's impressive; that blade must cut like an sob. I assumed it takes quite a while to get to that point, sounds like rewarding work, I got to get me one of those sharpeners one of these days. Thanks again.
