Strength of actions

I have a Delica, Endura and a Manix 2 LW. Is the action of the Manix with the spring release as strong as the other two?

A) I'm sure it's at least as strong.
B) I have nothing to back up my first statement.
C) if you're stressing the locks enough that you get a failure on any of those, you're doing something wrong.

The back lock will be strong enough for anything you will reasonably need it for. With that being said the Manix lock is a little stronger by design.

This would need empirical evidence to back up any claim of strength. Too many are quick to attack those who try to do lock strength tests. I am not one of them. My fingers are precious.
The old fashioned back lock shows time and again that it is a very strong lock. The Manix 2 caged ball bearing lock has not always proven to be so, but has been tweaked enough that I think it is pretty strong.
What we need is for someone to do a variety of strength tests with a Stretch and a Manix 2 (need several of each) to show some real evidence as to which one is stronger.

On a similar note, there is a thread on here somewhere started by a guy who used a Manix 2 on a tomato farm. He said the knife lock would get so clogged up that he could not operate the knife. It would not close and if he forced it closed it would not lock open. He had to clean the gunk out continuously. He went back to a back lock. He had no complaints about the strength of the lock, just the complaint about how easily it got gunked up and quit working during hard farm use.
