Hey all,
Comparing the 030x vs the 0200 for an upcoming purchase. I'd prefer the S30V, but don't mind the 154. AO is not an issue either way The main issue I'm having is the liner lock.

I don't use the liner locks that I own for much else than letter/box opening. I don't trust them, whether that's rational or not.

Sooooo, is the 0200 liner strong enough to change my mind? For some insight into what I expect, it will see hard field use. I'm an infantryman and this will ride in my right pocket for a year overseas. I have a nice .25" fixed blade that will handle any heavy prying I have to do, but I expect this ZT to do everything else.

Thanks, all. You guys are the reason I'm getting a ZT, just need to decide which one now.

Edited to add: what is the blade thickness of these two?

the Liner lock is solid. if it fails, it was a manufacturing flaw. If you have a big old fixedblade, then this will do everything.

I have both knives. I would trust the liner lock on the 0200 just and much as the lock on the 030X. Some guys on the forms seem to think the 0200 is a little more HD.
The spine measures .160 for both knives . The grip on both knives is great.....some like one more than the other. I like both.
0200s are hard to find now. I know of 1 site that had 0301s in stock a week ago. They are also the most reasonable site I know of. $25-50 cheaper than other sites.
PM/email for for the name of the site.

Clockman, I can't PM or see your email on my phone. Mind sending me that link to my email? stephenDOTmDOTtempleATgmailDOTcom

Thanks

Also something to note, the flipper on the 200 acts as a finger guard, making it physically impossible for the edge to close on your fingers when gripped normally.
