About a year ago I got a good price on about six S&W Powerglide knives. I took the nylon pouches and used the knives for odd jobs and carrying in the tool kit, or in the back of the car. I've played with it a bit, but don't know how strong the lockup is. Certainly it won't win any contests in opening speed, but it does appear solid once it's locked into place.

Well, that'll have to wait. I've never intentionally (nor unintentionally) destroyed a knife for test purposes. I only test one casually to determine whether it's strong enough and go from there.

The mechanism of this knife is much stronger than a balisong and I think it would take quite a bit of pressure from the southern side without failing. In fact, I have a hard time figuring out where it would fail.

edc one till it fails, that will tell you more than anyone here can(no offense just a philosophy)
