Strength of Titanium Threading

Curious about the security of the pocket clip's mounting screw. Since the titanium handle is softer than the screw threads, how secure is the attachment? Can tension on the mounting screw deform the softer titanium threads?

I have the SR-1 Ti Vi, it is fantastic.

Custom makers and Production knives have been threading titanium since it was introduced into knives. I've never read any accounts of problems with this method, nor have I ever experienced any problems, and I have been fooling with knives for a long, very long time!

As far as a definitive answer is concerned, I do not have one. I suspect that the hardness of titanium, though less than steel, is still hard enough to support a steel screw, and/or the screws are not hardened to the high rockwell that handles are, so the titanium may be the harder of the two. My experience with nost microscrews leads me to believe the latter, since I have stripped many a screw.
