Stretch 2XL vs Endura 4 durability

I noticed reviewers are saying the Stretch 2XL is a light use knife, and was wondering: if a full flat grind Endura 4 is strong enough knife for me, is this knife much far behind? Or is the thinner and pointier blade of a Stretch 2XL significantly weaker? Also the does the lack of steel liners allow significantly more flex? I'm ok with a little flex like my linerless Manix 2 has but hope it's no more than this?

Are you planning to use it for a knife or a piton? "They" say it's a light use knife because it is a light weight knife. "They" think that a knife has to be heavy to be strong. My opinion is "They" are wrong.

I guess is the pointy tip strong enough to slide into the gap and pull cut a standard to possibly large sized zip tie without breaking off and becoming a projectile? That's about the heaviest cutting task I think I may require of the stretch 2xl. I would never pry or use my knives as screwdrivers unless I am in a very bad situation

Have you looked at a Endela in K390 or a Police if you’re after a large knife ?

I have a Police 4 LW I like a lot and feel like it handles everything I need to throw at it, but sometimes it's a bit long of a blade so I've have had my eye on the stretch 2xl since it may be that perfect length and blade shape for me. Plus I like finger choils and the even lighter weight in the pocket entices me to give it a try

What about the Lightweight Native Chief?

I've had a lot of knives and it's hard to beat an Endura though. The Endura 4 with steel liners is light and disappears in the pocket but is extremely sturdy. I liked the old ones but the new ones are about as perfect as a pocket knife gets.

I have always loved my Endura folders. To me they encompass the best of everything that is Spyderco. I carry the K390 version everyday.

I'm carrying a Stretch XL, it is a very nice lightweight knife that will do all that I ask from it. The key difference between the Stretch and Endura, Endela and Delica is the Stretch XL like the Pacific Salt and Salt does not have metal liners in the FRN handles. The metal liners in the other models add strength as well as a little additional weight. Just depends on what you want to carry and what you want to do with the knife. They are not prybars and all will certainly cut ty-raps.
