hi guys, i really like the shape of the blades on these three knifes, stretch and the gayle bradley 1) my question is witch one should i get! i almost pulled the trigger on a gayle bradley but backed out because of the $175. price tag,and thinking i could save on stretch carbon fiber version but its about the same price, and don't no if i'll be happy with stretch light wight! should i just save and get the gayle bradley, your thoughts on this please and thanks for reading .:o

They are two completely different knives. The GB is a hard use knife, that is straight from the designers mouth. I feel like there are many better Stretch options than the one yiu oicked for a lower price.

The Gayle Bradley 2 should be out in the next couple of months and it looks to be even less expensive than the 1. I believe i saw it listed at $139. As far as build quality, the GB is the clear winner. And of course, don't forget about m4!!! As long as you don't mine the extra weight I would go with the Bradley all day.

GB1 +1

...its a Spyderco every 'knife person' needs to have. Superb blade for the money and one of Spydercos finest ever.

If you shop around you can beat that $175 price on the Gayle Bradley.

Since the GB II is coming out, the original GB may be discontinued. It could be you won't get many more chances to buy it.

I have a GB coming, but I love my stretch. Every time I carry it I think it's the perfect EDC.

Ive suggested in the past that the GB and the Stretch complement each other as a one-two punch very well. Kind of like the Endura/Delica. These are two of the best of the best USERS. If you insist on just one, the Stretch will excell more in day to day edc tasks with the thinner blade, lighter handle, and pocketability. GB can take more of a beating.

That's right, GB2 is coming soon, another option to consider :)

I've seen them in many places lately for a lot less than the $175 you stated earlier. Definitely do some shopping around.
I've got a Gayle Bradley en route from Blade HQ. Paid a good bit less than $175.

Amazon has the GB1 for less.... so do other retailers

I'd take a Stretch over the GB any day. It's fully ambidextrous, lighter, a better slicer, and even ZDP-189 is more rust resistant than M-4. However, the CF Stretch has been out of production for quite a few years, so finding one may not be that easy. Even if you do, it probably won't be cheap. The FRN version is much less expensive, plus its handle is a bit thicker, so it's more comfortable in the hand.
