I am having a hard time finding a decent store that stocks spyderco here in orlando, hence my question.

i have a couple of FFG endura. they are FRN handles but to me they seem more robust then my salt folder due to the stainless liners they have inside. Now i am interested in the Stretch, simply because i am curious to try out ZDP steel. its listed as a FRN handle, but does not state if it has liners or not?

so does it have stainless liners? and what are your thoughts on the ZDP steel?

thanks

Hi Arijer,

The FRN Stretch has nested skeletonized liners like the Endura and Delica.

Wow thanks Sal for the response. by the way i love you H1 salt series knives. Any chance of one coming out with liners?

Love the Stretch, it's been my favorite large EDC folder since the original ss/Kraton version first came out. The FRN versions are, in many respects the best yet.

As for steels, between VG-10 vs ZDP-189, I'd go with VG-10. ZDP-189's sole advantage is better edge holding, but that's purely relative, VG-10 is no slouch when it comes to holding an edge. VG-10 is easier to sharpen and MUCH easier to restore if you let the edge get really dull. VG-10 is also more stain and rust resistant. That's a minor point for me, but depending on you body chemistry, where you live, and how you use your knife, it could be of greater significance. So, to me, the higher cost of ZDP is difficult to justify.
