I just got a new Buck Strider 880 SP. It is my second Buck/Strider (the other being the "mini" 881 sp). Good tough knives.

On my larger knife (880) the blade has some play in it when closed and is not "dead center" between the liners. If I push it, I can get the blade to actually touch the liner. (My mini is dead center and doesnt move at all when closed). The knife locks up fine and has no blade play when opened. Is this the way it is supposed to be? If not, what can I adjust myself to avoid sending it to the factory. The pivot screws seem pretty tight.

Thanks for any help and great sight!

Try the pivot screws, they have a reusable Lock-tite style substance on them, so no re-locktiting is necessory. If you can't get it to come in line, send it in, and we will get it corrected. Sometimes the pressure of the liner against the blade when closed pushes it off center, so we can lighten up the liner bend also.
